Free legal support for members
NCMA members can call NCMA's legal advice line for free professional
advice on any legal problem concerned with their childminding
business or personal issues.
The free legal advice service is a membership benefit that
applies to childminding members of NCMA who are resident in the
United Kingdom, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. It also
applies to childminder members who are working on British Forces
Posted Overseas (BFPO) bases within British Territorial Limits.
Direct response to member feedback
NCMA has responded to member feedback and made
significant improvements to its legal provision, including better
support with debt recovery. We've partnered with an
established legal insurer - Composite Legal Expenses - to provide
members with an enhanced legal service.
New legal line
NCMA members can access legal advice from a
solicitor on the new legal line, 02921
156458 open between 8am and 6pm, with an emergency
service operating outside of these hours to provide 24/7
coverage.
New legal insurance
Members now benefit from £50,000 legal
expenses insurance to protect them in the event of:
- Contract Disputes*
- Employment Disputes
- Defence against Criminal Prosecution
- Protection of Registration
- Personal Injury
- Taxation
