Quality Start membership
Quality Start is a NCMA
membership package especially for new childminders.
NCMA Quality Start members receive:
- 12 months' NCMA membership - giving you support and advice in
your first year
- 12 months' NCMA public liability insurance, underwritten by
Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance plc
- free legal representation
- Who Minds?,
NCMA's glossy membership magazine, six times a year
- an introduction to your local childminding group
- access to savings through exclusive member benefit, NCMAsaver
- a set of NCMA's business paperwork for
childminders, including contracts, child record forms, an accounts
book, an attendance register, an accident, incident and medication
folder, plus a lockable case in which to keep your documents
secure
- a fire blanket.
Better still, if you are a new childminder and your local
authority offers Quality Start, you will be offered these
benefits free of charge!
As childminders register they are offered a start-up grant to
help them with expenses as they start up their childminding
business. Many local authorities offer childminders the opportunity
to use part of their start-up grant to become an NCMA Quality Start
member - giving them a year of support and advice.
If you're thinking of becoming registered, or are working
towards registration, ask your local authority if they offer NCMA
Quality Start membership or call 0845 880 0044 to find out more
about Quality Start. If your local authority doesn't offer Quality
Start, don't worry, you can still join NCMA as an individual
member. Please note the Quality Start package is only available if
provided by your local authority.
If you represent a local authority and want to find out how
you can offer NCMA Quality Start membership to childminders in your
area, call 0845 880 0044.
Request a callback from one of our friendly team to talk about NCMA
membership.
