Structure and strategy

Happy little girlAs a professional membership organisation, NCMA's structure reflects the importance of gathering its members' views and opinions to influence its policies.

NCMA collects its members' views in a range of ways, and members are involved in all areas of the organisation.

NCMA is divided into ten membership regions across England and Wales. When a childminder or nanny joins NCMA they automatically become a member of the region in which they live.

For many members, their NCMA region is their first port of call for local support and training. It's also at a regional level that many members begin volunteering with NCMA. The regional volunteers are key in gathering members' views and feeding them back to NCMA via the National Policy Forum.
