Membership department
Led by Amanda Carmichael, Director of
Membership, the Membership team is made up of 155 staff dedicated
to delivering excellent service to our members. The department is a
mixture of business development, communications, marketing, sales
and service delivery.
The Membership Services team is responsible for driving customer
service throughout the organisation, acting as the main point of
contact for all members through our dedicated telephone information
and service lines. Membership services manage all sales and
membership enquiries as well as product stock and administration.
They are the first point of contact for most members of NCMA.
Corporate Business Development
Corporate Business Development works across NCMA to, identify,
market test, develop and facilitate implementation of a whole range
of business opportunities, from partnerships to contracts and
services. The team is also responsible for the business information
that supports NCMA to deliver high quality services to its members
and grow its membership base.
Contracts and Services
Contracts and Services is the business area funded exclusively
through the contracts we secure to deliver services at local,
regional and national levels that support the delivery of NCMA
strategy. Clients include local authorities and government
departments as well as corporate and public sector bodies.
Senior Contracts Managers are responsible for a portfolio of
activity, with Service Managers managing individual contracts,
client relationships, local networks and general local team
management. Contract staff work on specific individual services
directly.
Marketing and Communications
The Marketing and Communications team has been reorganised to
provide particular focus on improving our membership offer to our
current member categories. The team drive recruitment and retention
campaigns, provide marketing and communications support across the
organisation, handle all press and public relations, as well as
manage all digital media and publications.
