Award Winning Trio
At a fantastic night that recognises the superb job that people
do across the childcare sector, three outstanding NCMA childminders
were honoured by being named as winners.
Janice Jinks, from Doncaster, and Jim Wiseman, from
Cambridgeshire, were jointly awarded Childminder of the Year at the
4Children Childcare Stars Awards.
Melanie Flynn Haddon, from Colchester, was named Newcomer of the
Year.
All three were recognised for the exceptional level of care they
provide in their childminding settings.
The decision to award the Childminder of the Year jointly was
made when the judges were unable to choose one over the other.
Susanna Dawson, NCMA Chair, was on the judging panel for the
Award.
"Both Janice and Jim do such an amazing job that it was
impossible to choose between them, so I was really pleased that we
were able to honour them both jointly. It was also wonderful to see
that Melanie was awarded Newcomer of the Year. The night was a real
boost to registered childminding."
