Feedback on food
If you're providing food to the
children in your care, then make sure you have your say in this
government consultation over existing food and nutrution
guidance.
The guidance summarises existing
food and nutrition guidance (external link) to offer
a clear and consistent point of reference for Early Years
providers, practitioners and parents.
Comments can be submitted via an
online survey on the School Food Trust
website (external link). This survey is part of the
work of the Advisory Panel on Food and Nutrition in Early Years, of
which NCMA is a member representing the home based childcare
workforce.
The survey
only takes five minutes to complete and all responses are
confidential. Before
starting the survey, please have the Unique Reference Number
of your setting ready. This is required to
identify any duplicate
responses from within the same
setting. It is not
possible to save your answers halfway through so please complete
the survey in full and click submit at the end.
Feedback on the content, tone and
format of the guidance
document is being sought and
comments will inform the work of the Advisory Panel on Food
and Nutrition in Early Years which has been set up by the Trust to
consider evidence on the need for improved guidance and/or
standards to ensure that children from birth to 5 are provided with
a healthy, balanced and nutritious diet.
The consultation deadline has been extended to 17 September
2010.
