London childminders survey
London childcare providers survey 2010
Have your say in election year! – be part of the voice of London
childcare.
In collaboration with the Daycare Trust, NCMA is again
participating in The London Childcare Providers Network (LCPN)
which will provide opportunities for information exchange. This
includes network meetings, events and forums to which childminders
will be encouraged to fully participate or share their views as
valued members of the childcare workforce.
Providing information enables the collective responses to be
shared with policy-makers. Last year, more childminders responded
to the survey than any other group. You can
see the results
of last year's survey here (external link).
This is part of a London-wide initiative funded by London Councils
and co-coordinated by the Daycare Trust and in collaboration with
the Pre-School Learning Alliance.
A forum was held on 23rd June 2009 and a further one is planned
for this summer; research is being done in the form of a London
Childcare Providers Survey.
NCMA needs as many childminders to complete this survey as
possible to keep childminding high on the agenda and ensure issues
specific to childminders and best practice are fully captured.
You can
view or respond to the survey here (external link). Please take
a few minutes of your time to share your views (the compulsory
questions should take no more
than five minutes).
We do know you are extremely busy people but would really
appreciate your time to complete this by 8 June 2010.
All responses are co-ordinated by Deborah Brodie from the Daycare
Trust who can be reached via e-mail dbrodie@daycaretrust.org.uk;
or at London Childcare Project Coordinator, Daycare Trust 020 7940
7512 (direct line); 020 7940 7510 (switchboard).
This project is funded by London Councils, and supported by
Pre-school Learning Alliance, 4Children, National Childminding
Association, National Day Nurseries Association, London Early Years
Foundation, Family & Parenting Institute, Children's Workforce
Development Council, Department for Children, Schools &
Families, Government Office for London, Greater London Authority,
London Development Agency and a number of local
authorities.
