NCMA launches film

NCMA has produced a new film highlighting the benefits of using home-based childcare.

Called Home from Home: The Benefits of Home-based Childcare, the film shows five childminders and speaks to the parents who use their services.

The film is available to view online and download at www.ncmafilm.org.uk and is accompanied by a leaflet, Home from Home: Giving Your Child the Best Start, which also outlines how registered childminders can offer great support for families and children.

Catherine Farrell, NCMA Joint Chief Executive said:

"We are very excited about the new film and leaflet, which we hope will help parents choose a home-based childcarer. Recent research has shown that many families do not know know what a registered childminder can offer and would welcome more information on the benefits of home-based childcare.

"The film and accompanying leaflet are available to download, making it easily accessible to thousands of families and we hope that parents will use it to support them in making childcare choices."

The film and leaflet are part of a wider parents marketing campaign which intends to increase awareness about registered childminders and nannies as quality childcare choice.
