Childminder numbers rising
There's been an encouraging rise in number of
registered childminders in England in the last quarter. Ofsted has
today
published data on the number of registered childcare providers
between October and December 2010.
NCMA's Joint Chief Executive, Catherine
Farrell, said "The rise in the number of registered childminders
and latest evidence of their increasing professionalism is very
encouraging.
"NCMA is committed to improving professional
development opportunities for individual childminders and to
ensuring that all children and families, in all areas, can access
high quality home-based childcare."
