Acclaimed author on nutrition and cooking for children and
families Annabel Karmel will be the keynote speaker at NCMA's
Annual Conference and Exhibition in Leeds.
The conference, which runs from 6-7 November 2009, will provide
hundreds of registered childminders with an opportunity to hear
from a range of speakers, including NCMA's President and childcare
expert, Dame Gillian Pugh.
Annabel Karmel is set to provide delegates with inspiration on
helping young children to eat healthily and providing ideas for
tempting recipes for childminders to try. She will also be signing
books at the conference.
Catherine Farrell, joint Chief Executive at NCMA, said:
"NCMA is excited to have Annabel Karmel address conference this
year, sharing her years of experience in food and nutrition for
children and families. Registered childminders recognise their
important role in providing children with a healthy start in life,
so we hope Annabel will further inspire childminders to continue
their existing good practice."
Annabel Karmel said:
“I am delighted to be speaking to registered childminders and
nannies to help support them in providing healthy and nutritious
food for the children in their care. Registered childminders
provide a home from home and can support parents in teaching
children to develop healthy eating habits that will last them
throughout their lives.”
The closing date for bookings is 9 October 2009, places are
limited so early booking is advisable. Visit www.ncma.org.uk/conference
