Child protection survey
Source: NCMA Research Team (15/10/2009)
NCMA has been asked by the Department of Children, Schools and
Families to conduct an online survey with childminders on the
subject of child protection, as part of a large-scale piece of
research into child protection across all early years settings.
The aims of this research are to gain a better understanding of
current knowledge and practice in the area of child protection, to
ascertain how confident members feel in addressing child protection
issues, and to identify areas where members feel they would benefit
from further support.
We will be sending an email to 2000 randomly-selected members,
inviting them to complete the web-based questionnaire.
If you receive an email invitation, we would greatly appreciate
your participation.
By contributing to this research, you will help to ensure that
DCSF’s work in this area recognises the distinctive nature of
childminding and provides childminders with appropriate guidance,
training and support.
If you are selected to participate in the survey and have any
questions, please contact Rebecca
Loader, NCMA's Research and Policy Officer.
