Claim conference cost as a business expense
Following clarification by HM Revenue &
Customs (HMRC), NCMA is pleased to confirm that by attending the
annual conference, it is recognised that the childminders will be
updating their skills, knowledge and expertise.
Therefore, the cost of travelling to, and the
cost of attendance at the annual conference is allowable as a
business expense. However, this excludes the cost of any overnight
stays required.
NCMA's annual conference will be taking place
in Bristol at The Royal Marriott Hotel on Friday 12 and Saturday 13
November 2010. The conference will have a mix of plenary sessions,
fun and interactive workshops combined with the opportunity to take
part in the annual policy debate which will help shape NCMA's
future work.
There will also be an opportunity for
delegates to network with colleagues, meet with old friends and
make new ones from across England and Wales.
