Dad Camp survey

Fatherhood Institute logoThe Fatherhood Institute is planning to run a series of holiday opportunities for dads, stepdads, granddads, uncles, foster fathers etc and their children next summer – called Dad Camp.

What is Dad Camp?

Dad Camp is a holiday where dads and other male carers will have the opportunity to take their children on an organised camping trip alongside other dads, while mum stays at home.

As well as having a great time and treasured memories, the impact on children will be long lasting. Research shows that fathers’ positive engagement with their children benefits them in all sorts of ways - including doing better at school.

Accommodation will be in tents and we will provide trained instructors to run a mixture of adventure activities, including things like canoeing, trekking, campfires and star-gazing.

Dad Camps will be organised according to the ages of the children coming on the camp. For every four paying families attending Dad Camp we will be able to provide a free Dad Camp for one low-income family.

Help design Dad Camp

To help the Fatherhood Institute make Dad Camp a success, they need to find out what dads and mums think of the idea. So, if you have children aged 18 or under, please fill in this Dad Camp survey, it should only take a couple of minutes.

And if you know any other dads (and mums) – either through work or in a personal capacity – please ask them to fill in the survey too. Just pass them this web link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/DadcampsurveyFI
