Ten days left to respond
With just 10 days left to respond to the EYFS review
consultation, NCMA's Regional Forums have been meeting to discuss
their views on the EYFS.
Reports from the Forums that have taken place so far support
NCMA's view that the EYFS should be retained, but with some minor
adjustments.
NCMA members continue to support a single EYFS framework for
both childminders and nurseries as it reinforces childminders'
professionalism and members strongly feel that this level playing
field should not be lost.
NCMA members also value the opportunity that the EYFS has given
them to work more closely with other childcare professionals.
Paperwork remains the main area of concern for NCMA members with
both the quantity, and varying expectations of what types of
paperwork should be kept, being frequently mentioned during
discussions.
