Wales draft budget 2011-12
Following the announcement of the
draft budget allocations in Wales for the year 2011-12, NCMA Cymru,
has responded by welcoming the commitment to largely protect
children’s programmes.
Catrin Fletcher, Director of NCMA Cymru said:
"the draft budget recognises the importance of existing projects
like the Foundation Phase in providing good quality education and
care for young children. This is, we hope, also an indication
that the Assembly Government places value on childcare
provision and supporting voluntary sector involvement in delivering
childcare objectives.
"We look forward to working with Assembly
Government and local authorities in Wales to find ways of working
in partnership to ensure levels of support for registered
childminders and nannies, and training and quality are
maintained."
