Consultancy
NCMA is able to offer consultancy to local
authorities in England. We can advise on developing
childminding strategies which help LAs meet their duties under the
Childcare Act 2006.
NCMA has led the way in tailored support for registered
childminders as well helping to increase awareness of this
childcare choice for families. NCMA will tailor consultancy
sessions to the needs of each individual local authority.
NCMA can also help local authorities who have not previously
worked closely with registered childminders to see how home-based
childcare can fit into a wider family strategy by working with key
stakeholders.
The consultations can be focussed on a number of key themes:
- childminder and nanny training
- quality improvement
- childminders and the Early Years Foundation Stage
- childminders providing respite care
- community childminding
- addressing specific needs.
